Job Description
The Automation organization enables and measures the unified customer journey, intelligently empowering customers through Square's ecosystem of products. Marketing Technology (MarTech) is an essential team within the Automation organization and is focused on making growth and analytics more effective and efficient. MarTech binds the tools, technology, data, and individual team initiatives across Square to advance growth of the entire ecosystem.
We are looking for a TPM to coordinate and help set the vision for a holistic observability and performance monitoring platform that spans web, measurement, and data. You will use your program leadership and technical expertise in site reliability, automated data monitoring & alerting, and consent management to ensure Square's customer acquisition flows are not only working, but optimized for growth at scale. You will partner with Global Marketing, Engineering, Data Science, and Product to choose and implement the right technologies to optimize millions of customer touchpoints across paid and organic channels. You will gather requirements and coordinate project delivery across multiple teams and will directly influence the global efficacy of millions of dollars of annual marketing spend.
You will:- Be the subject matter expert in Square's website, marketing data, and the tools we use (CDPs, Google Tag Manager, OneTrust); understand our existing platforms and how to improve them
- Guide long-term thinking and innovation in an ambiguous and rapidly-changing space
- Collaborate with product management, senior leadership, and your peers, to develop the strategy for the future of data management and observability at Square
- Lead the governance of Square's web performance in partnership with key stakeholders
- Gather requirements for measurement and marketing automation initiatives and partner with teams to drive implementation
- Increase coverage of data and performance monitoring tools with a focus on automation (eg. CI/CD pipelines)
- Promote the importance of data quality, visibility, and availability across the team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical program or product management experience
- Prior experience as an engineer/developer (can navigate APIs, databases, and system architecture)
- Expertise implementing and scaling site reliability and data monitoring solutions
- Experience with the tools that power marketing automation, experimentation, personalization, attribution, and analytics
- Background working with product managers, data, and marketing professionals
- Experience with site performance and monitoring tools (eg. sitespeed.io, BrowserStack, Grafana) a bonus
- Familiarity with data regulations (eg. GDPR, CCPA) and consent management tools (eg. OneTrust) a bonus
