- Full-time
Company Description
Job Description
The Block Brand and Purpose team mixes creative, comms, social, and data to build the Block brand and communicate our purpose of economic empowerment. We’re curious, quirky, quick-witted designers, writers, strategists, technologists, analysts, and economists who work on everything from big brand campaigns to deep data analysis.
We’re looking for an experienced, resourceful, organized, and tech savvy Senior Creative Producer to maintain the day-to-day operations of Block Studio, a newly formed and created in-house design agency to deliver best-in-class 3D motion design and visual storytelling services to all our businesses across the Block organization.
We’re just getting started with Block Studio, and this is an exciting opportunity to build a new team from the ground up. The Senior Creative Producer will partner closely with our Motion Design Lead, playing an integral role in steering the ship operationally and administratively by establishing new processes for project intake and prioritization, resource allocation, project budgets, freelancer/vendor onboarding and management, and other systems and tools needed for the team to operate efficiently. In this role, you will manage the high-level operations of Block Studio as well as the production of 3D and motion projects from start to finish.
This role will report to the Project Management and Operations Lead.
You will:
Establish new processes and/or develop process improvements to set the Block Studio team up for launch and future growth
Lead projects, assuming responsibility for day-to-day management of the creative workflow and stakeholder management
Be an active team member in creative sessions to help map creative direction to production strategy
Work closely with creative and cross-functional leads to scope projects and build production approaches from briefs
Align projects and initiatives to company goals and ensure proper prioritization and resources are planned and allocated effectively (in-house and freelance)
Build schedules and timelines, run meetings to keep teams on task, develop agendas, and follow each meeting with clear notes and action items
Ensure teams are delivering on time and adjust timelines as needed while proactively communicating to relevant parties along the way
Own project organization and build a single source of truth for information (project hubs)
Manage creative feedback and revisions to ensure project is on scope, and conduct timely retros to collect process-related feedback after project completion
Mitigate risk and be proactive on any potential project problems
Be a strategic member of the broader Block Project Management and Operations Team to streamline and enhance overall team processes
Foster and build relationships with cross-functional partners across the company
Manage work tasks and communication across time zones using Asana, JIRA, Slack, Google Docs, and tools we don't even know we need
Juggle a mix of large and small projects, often with overlapping importance and urgency
Be a brand champion and find moments of celebration for the team
Qualifications
You have:
7-10 years of experience producing motion or creative work at an agency or in-house creative/motion team
Expert knowledge of production processes, ideally within creative or design industries
Strong working knowledge of the 3D production pipeline
Appetite to produce work for a variety of teams and execute non-traditional projects
Experience in managing briefs to ensure that key stakeholders are aligned
Experience developing new processes and documentation for new workflows
Experience using project management tools (like Asana), or in building and managing spreadsheets for team resourcing and project management
Ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional counterparts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sense of humor, passion, and general maturity in navigating a healthy work/life balance
