Job Description

The Payments Engineering Team at Afterpay is responsible for building a global payments platform that enables our customers to pay for their purchases using their preferred payment mechanisms. This role requires expertise in building out mission-critical systems at scale that can evolve quickly. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of the core foundational platform that powers one of the world’s largest payment networks. 

 

You will:

  • Design, build and own the automation test suites for both existing and new microservices and integrate the tests into CI/CD pipelines 

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, data analysts and engineers to plan and implement complex features while also understanding impact areas that need to be considered

  • Responsible for reviewing engineers’ acceptance criteria for the feature card through story kickoffs

  • Mentoring the engineers on aspects of quality assurance and testing by sharing the experience and knowledge to implement quality governance across the development lifecycle

  • Assessing and mitigating risks, solving quality problems  and implementing changes to improve engineering efficiency

Qualifications

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science or relevant qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years industry experience

  • Experience in designing and implementing automation test frameworks

  • Experience in manual and automated testing

  • Enthusiastic about solving business problems with technology
