Job Description
The Financial Crimes Emerging Risk team acts as an aggregator of intelligence, analysis, leads, fraud typologies, and risk assessments that can be used to inform decisions across Compliance. We are looking for a Financial Crimes Emerging Risk Data Analyst to provide data analytics support and data insights to the team. You will work closely with other Emerging Risk analysts to fulfill data requests, identify key data in new and complex datasets, and build a framework to automate dashboards, metrics, and reporting.
Qualifications
You Will:
Create SQL queries that can be used to extract data necessary for analyst reviews
Build databases and design dashboards for the Emerging Risk team
Summarize complex matters for peers, partners, and management, and share data interpretations through written reports and presentations
Document your work and build a knowledge base for the team
Partner with Compliance data and analytics teams
Maintain an understanding of Cash App products and compliance requirements
You Have:
2+ years experience writing advanced queries in SQL or MySQL
2+ years experience with Looker, Tableau, Excel (can perform complex functions)
Experience building databases and ETLs
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical information in written form
Experience summarizing complex data issues to peers, managers and senior members of management
Even Better:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
Experience with Python or R
Certified Fraud Examiner, ACAMS, or similar accreditation
Experience working in a BSA/AML, fraud, or compliance environment
Experience filing Suspicious Activity Reports
