Job Description
The Core Infrastructure group - composed of the Compute, Cloud Foundation, Observability, and Traffic teams - provide foundational infrastructure for Cash engineers to run their services on top of Cash’s cloud platform. Our platform and infrastructure enable services to scale and communicate securely, while enabling our users to effectively observe, debug, and monitor their applications. We’re a distributed team of infrastructure engineers spread across North America and Australia, and we work with other infrastructure engineers and product engineers who rely on the systems that we build.
As an Engineering Manager in the Core Infrastructure group, you will:
Partner closely with other engineering leaders to define your team’s vision and roadmap by thoroughly understanding your customers’ needs.
Build a world-class team by hiring exceptional talent, coaching and developing engineers, cultivating pragmatic engineering decision-making, and leveraging your technical experience to constantly raise the bar.
Develop efficient processes to ensure that your team is operating with high velocity, quality, and ownership.
Lead and participate in critical technical, strategic and operational discussions with leaders across the organization, company, and external partners.
Qualifications
You have:
A track record of leading productive engineering teams
Successfully recruited great people to your teams
Demonstrated technical initiative, leadership, and project execution
Experience working on cloud infrastructure and/or large-scale production systems
Boundless curiosity, autonomy, and a strong sense of accountability
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with people across disciplines
