Job Description
The Opportunity
As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll be a key member of the Global Merchant Services Team, responsible for designing solutions that solve critical business challenges for the largest and most innovative retailers in the world.

As a Solutions Engineer you will establish yourself as a domain expert for Afterpay integrations and:
Become an expert on Afterpay’s APIs and how to best use them to match merchants' needs.
Understand merchant’s businesses, unique challenges, and lead the design of integration solutions that deliver industry-best buyer experiences
Own and drive relationships with external technical audiences — from engineer to CTO — and translate requirements into solutions.
Educate merchants and partners to implement optimal integration strategies, techniques, and user experience best practices.
Partner with sales, product and engineering teams to design solutions during pre-contractual stages of strategic partnerships
Own and drive relationships with internal teams — sales/compliance/product/engineering — to communicate business objectives and translate requirements into solutions.
Reviews solution design and vet solution proposals for technical viability.
Develop integration support material and documentation for new products and features
Qualifications

You will have experience leading pre-sales discussions with an expert knowledge of:
Ecommerce, including Payments, Order Management and Reporting systems
Software development life cycles– environments, testing, release management, deployments
Solving open-ended business problems with a combination of technology and creative thinking
Stakeholder management and communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
5+ years of client-facing experience with web technologies, including ecommerce and payments is essential
