Job Description
The Globalization team helps to bring Square products and services to the world. Our goal is to use our success in the US and provide innovative, simple, unique, and localized experiences to our international customers. We are looking for a project manager to join our team to help us shape the Square message with maximum local relevance, amplifying our brand and products in key markets around the globe.
You will:
- Engage and build relationships with cross-functional teams and partners (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, in-country Marketing teams) to ensure localization requirements are implemented and the localization processes are well understood
- Manage, coordinate, track, and troubleshoot localization projects and tasks for multiple locales/languages across a variety of deliverables
- Manage projects E2E to meet our internal partners' needs by partnering with peers, sister teams, external linguists, LSPs, and other relevant departments to tailor efficient localization processes including translation, localization, and LQA tasks
- Build and implement a localization project management framework and continue to evolve it to best address challenges in new and existing markets
- Evangelize localization best practices and ensure partners' compliance
Qualifications
You have:
- 4+ years of experience in Localization project management including vendor management
- Passionate and knowledgeable about globalizing software and hardware
- Familiarity with Marketing transcreation, Product and Website localization process and technology
- Experience with globalization management systems, content management systems, video localization tools and LQA testing methodologies
- Experience with collecting and analyzing localization data
- Fluency in language other than English a bonus
