Job Description

The Systems Lead for Legal and Regulatory Compliance is a manager of individual contributors. The team is responsible for responding to data requests from regulators, partners, and litigations received for Cash App. Your team includes data engineers who build the data infrastructure and reporting solutions and analysts who create reports and provide data-driven insights. In addition to leading your team, you will act as the portfolio manager for the various requests we receive, ensuring your team is well-positioned to meet the needs of the requestors. You anticipate problems before they become problems, using exceptional critical thinking skills, problem solving, and sound decision making to rapidly diagnose and resolve impediments to the optimal delivery of services to CCO. You will get to use your strong collaboration skills by connecting the dots between business needs and process optimization. The role reports to the Sr. Systems Lead for the Service Delivery Team and partners closely with the Cash Executive Relations Team, Legal counsel, and Integration Services.

You will: 

  • Define and optimize the work performed by your workstream to support Cash Customer Operations and Cash App as a whole
  • Lead the intake process for requests and meet with Counsel as appropriate, ensuring clarity on scope and timeline, and prioritize work performed by your workstream
  • Partner with multiple teams across Cash and external partners 
  • Recruit and retain top talent into the team 
  • Coach and mentor team members so that each person reaches their highest potential
  • Contribute to setting objectives and quarterly key results for the broader Service Delivery team and your workstream 
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the work you do, and the nature of the requests

You may also: 

  • Support your team members in some analysis and reporting
  • Represent Cash to external agencies as needed
  • Partner with operations and IS teams to facilitate prioritization of organizational and team initiatives.

Qualifications

You have: 

  • 3 years+ experience working in a leadership role, ideally leading Data Analysts and/or Data Engineers in a fast paced environment
  • 2+ years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or legal environment 
  • 2+ years making presentations to a wide range of stakeholders and audiences
  • Financial institution experience
  • Ability to communicate and partner with legal, business, and technical teams clearly, and translate complex needs into specific action items 
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written skills
