Job Description

As Global Mobility Partner (Specialist) you will be the central contact to manage international and domestic relocation cases. You will work with partners, including Recruiting, HR Business Partners, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Stock Administration, Corporate Tax, and HR Operations to ensure the seamless management of transfer and relocation cases at Block. You will be the primary contact for mobile Blocks, and manage several vendors to ensure our Blocks receive a superior employee experience. You will cross-train with other members of the team to ensure coverage due to high volumes or backup coverage.
You will be part of a team as we continue to build the Global Mobility Function at Block.

You will:

  • Deliver the best employee experience to relocating employees

  • Manage Global Mobility caseload, including:                                                           

  • International and Domestic Relocation cases - Case management using Global Mobility software; conduct consultations with the employee, manager, HRBP, and recruiter on relocation, immigration, and tax benefits, manage tax and relocation vendor cases, process exception requests, and conduct post-arrival check-ins.               

  • International Transfers - Work with HR, Corporate Tax, and the business to obtain appropriate approvals, consult with employee, manager, HRBP, and recruiter on relocation, immigration, and tax benefits, prepare cost projections, manage pre-decision tax services, manage transfer letter process, vendor management, process exception requests, assist with special equity tax requests, manage Workday workflow, and conduct post-arrival check-ins.                                                                    

  • Temporary Assignment cases - Case management including consultations with the employee, manager, HRBP, and Corporate Tax, prepare cost projections, manage transfer letter process, vendor management, process exception requests, assist with special equity tax requests, manage Workday workflow, conduct post-arrival check-ins, perform check-ins while ‘On Assignment’, consult with employee, manager, HRBP on repatriation process, repatriation vendor management, and manage Workday repatriation workflow.             

  • Assist Global Mobility Leads with:                                                                                 

  • Relocation and Tax Program Management, maintenance of internal Wiki pages and public Google Folders, maintenance of process workflows, compiling program metrics, and business and executive travel support.                                                          

  • Compliance - Help compile annual tax year-end reports, assist Mobility Leads with country-specific tax reporting and equity calculations, and partner with the immigration team to ensure the appropriate work permits are in place.                                                                                       

  • Vendor and supplier management, including direct management of relocation and tax vendors and working closely with local tax offices.                                                                                              

  • Cross-Train with global teams. Provide vacation coverage and cover other regional cases, due to increased volume.

Qualifications

You have:

  • 3-4 years of experience working with a corporate mobility program, that included relocation and tax services

  • Customer-service focus

  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and handle employee confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to research, assess facts, and determine their impact to the business
