Job Description
Square's Content Marketing team supports the brand and the business by winning audiences of engaged, loyal, independent business owners with our thoughtful use of channels and storytelling. Our Social Media team builds awareness and affinity for our brand through storytelling and information-sharing. Every day we develop emotional connections with current and future business owners on our channels, like Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and more.
Social media is where people today consume their news, get their stories, and have distinctly online experiences—and Square provides those moments for our sellers and community. Square is looking for an extraordinary Social Media Manager to help drive and scale our strategic and tactical social media efforts across international markets. As a member of Square's Content Marketing team, you will influence Social strategy across our core businesses, products, and plans. Taking a data-driven approach, you'll look to increase content and campaign efficiency through optimization, creative experimentation, and new platform tests. You will also help further Square's voice on social media, grow the brand, and tell stories in meaningful and engaging ways for our sellers and prospects. You'll report to the Global Head of Social Media.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and imaginative International Social Media Manager to join our team. You will assist teams domestically and abroad to produce content and campaigns for channels like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok and scale our production, governance, and insights to help propel our brand forward.
You Will:
- Collaborate with the Content Marketing team in the US and internationally to develop strategies and tactics that support the needs of different country markets
- Manage governance across channels and markets, including aggregating and distributing global best practices and insights
- Communicate with international market teams on governance, best practices, and project deadlines and deliverables
- Help scale our production efforts by creating templates and aid in the standardization of formats, tools, etc.
- Deliver monthly channel, campaign, and tactical reports to partners across the organization
- Assist local market teams with creative ideation around reactive social media content opportunities and raise the visibility and impact of their work to other teams worldwide
- Work cross-functionally (creative, product marketing, brand) with a Social Media lens to educate teammates and put our best foot forward to meet awareness, acquisition, and engagement goals and support initiatives
- Be fluent in the latest features and trends across channels like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok and create POVs, test scenarios, and other experiments and optimizations
Qualifications
You Have:
- 5+ years of related marketing experience
- Working knowledge of how social media content and campaigns differ across markets to meet the needs of local audiences and cultures
- A passion for marketing and staying up-to-date on industry and platform news
- Familiarity with analytics tools and how to translate performance metrics into relevant takeaways
