Hiring great talent is critical to the success of any company. Block is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to build and execute against recruiting strategies for the following engineering and technical teams: Business Technology, Square Financial Services and Financial Crimes Engineering. As a key talent advisor and thought leader to our business partners, you would be responsible for the following:

You will:

• Own the entire lifecycle of recruiting from starting a new search, job description development, building a robust evaluation strategy, diversity sourcing and closing candidates

• Hiring for a wide variety of engineering and technical positions at mid to senior levels: Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering Management, Product Management, IT Support, Business Systems Analyst

• Provide a stellar recruiting and interview experience for both candidates and hiring managers 

• Partner with HRBPs, Finance, Talent Programs, Compensation, and I&D to ensure a holistic and inclusive approach to recruiting

• Provide mentorship or indirect leadership on various recruiting best practices

• Execute against unique sourcing strategies to build diverse pools of candidates

You have:

• At least 5 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience. 

• 2+ years of experience partnering with hiring stakeholders. 

• Experience building strategic partnerships with hiring teams and cross-functional team members 

• A desire and aptitude in building organizations that take into account holistic team composition and long-term vision.
