Job Description

Our Video Team is looking for an experienced Post Production Generalist to support the in-house Post Production Team at Square. You will be responsible for collaborating with our Video Post Producers to facilitate proper VFX treatments (mainly screen replacements and light tracking/roto) and packaging for final video asset delivery. You will also be responsible for collaborating with our Video Post Producers to facilitate light animation transitions and supers for marketing assets such as Broadcast and Digital campaigns, Sizzle Reels, Social Videos, and more. 

You are comfortable in the post production/VFX space and are a dependable, team player who will help us execute to the highest creative and technical standards of work. 

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaising with Creatives, Producer, and Post Producer to establish the formats and delivery items of all the elements that make up the production

  • Collating all the materials from the camera, animation and special effects teams, and ensuring they are all compatible

  • Taking responsibility for continuity of shots and effects for each deliverable

  • Ability to tackle shots from start to finish, including roto, tracking, paint, keying, and creating mattes as require

  • Designing and implementing the look and feel of Square’s brand through motion design

  • Executing fully animated assets, such as UI content, title treatments, and GIFs

  • Ensuring the vision of overall style is delivered

  • Conducting quality assurance of visuals and correcting errors before final composition

  • Communicating progress of work to Post Producer in a timely manner

 

Qualifications

  • Career training in VFX compositing and motion graphics with a strong demo reel

  • Strong knowledge of a broad range of software - Adobe Suite, Nuke, Adobe Photoshop, AfterEffects. Maya & C4D - A Plus

  • Strong typographic and animation skills 

  • Strong communication and time management skills, and the ability to work autonomously

  • Good working knowledge of the post-production process and visual effects pipeline

  • Ability to analyze visual elements and make them consistent throughout

  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and consistency

  • Strong artistic skills

  • Good communication skills and attention to detail

  • Problem-solving skills, especially technical issues

 

NICE TO HAVES

  • 3D Experience/Interest is a plus, but not required

  • Light design experience
