Company Description

Square builds common business tools in unconventional ways so more people can start, run, and grow their businesses. When Square started, it was difficult and expensive (or just plain impossible) for some businesses to take credit cards. Square made credit card payments possible for all by turning a mobile phone into a credit card reader. Since then Square has been building an entire business toolkit of both hardware and software products including Square Capital, Square Terminal, Square Payroll, and more. We’re working to find new and better ways to help businesses succeed on their own terms—and we’re looking for people like you to help shape tomorrow at Square.

Job Description

We are looking for an extraordinary performance marketer to help promote new seller acquisition through paid media channels. As a senior member of our Demand Generation Team, you'll design overarching strategic projects across a variety of digital and offline channels to support Square's core payments business and SaaS product offerings.

You will:
  • Support acquisition campaigns across digital and offline channels for a subset of merchant products
  • Contribute to strategic documents across multiple teams at Square
  • Summarize complex ideas into relevant recommendations for senior executives
  • Present creative briefing that defines program goals and measurable outcomes
  • Maintain reports, budgets, campaign performance, return on investment, LTV, and other channel metrics
  • Collaborate with other performance marketing specialists to uncover growth opportunities aligned with financial goals
  • Build tests to validate hypotheses and recommend performance optimizations based on in-depth analyses
  • Manage campaigns with a data-driven approach and compile insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Report channel metrics, goals, and other KPI's both weekly and monthly
  • Communicate weekly updates, progress reports, timelines, and results to company partners (such as Product Marketing and Creative/Production)

You have:
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of related performance marketing experience, specifically within paid marketing
  • Experience reporting out to senior executives and partnering across internal teams
  • Background in Web Analytics, A/B Testing, and metrics-driven marketing
  • Advanced experience with analytical tools such as Excel and SQL
  • Experience analyzing performance data for optimizations towards typical KPIs
