Square is looking for a passionate campaign and systems Copywriter to help grow our business, brand, and push our company mission forward. This is a hands-on role with tremendous opportunity to affect and influence the Square brand as we grow globally. You are highly conceptual, thoughtful, and strategic. You can share and sell ideas, and encourage others to share theirs. You sweat the smallest details, scrutinize every word, develop campaign concepts that cut through the noise, thrive in a collaborative cross-discipline environment, and have a passion for opening up the economy to anyone who has a dream and the will to make it real.
You Will:
Work on a multi-discipline team to creative and pitch concepts that impact multiple campaigns across multiple products
Write ad placements, web pages, guides, presentations, events materials, email campaigns, search ads, overview videos, and 360 awareness campaigns, in addition to fully integrated new market launch campaigns
Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of our design system
Leverage customer and data insights to inspire creative concepts
Collaborate with a talented group of designers, technologists, engineers, brand managers, strategists, and marketing managers
Collaborate across the Square organization to ensure a consistent, integrated brand voice
Distill complex subject matter into simple, straightforward language that anyone can understand
Qualifications
You Have:
3-5 years experience in a creative copywriting role at an agency or in-house brand
Excellent grammar, writing, and editorial skills—you take your English very seriously and have great attention to detail
The ability to explain complicated products and processes in simple, human ways to both businesses and consumers
The desire to constantly learn about the businesses we serve
The drive to continually sharpen your copywriting skills
The ability to quickly adapt your writing style to fit within the Square voice and tone
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle several projects at once
A positive attitude and a manageable ego with the ability to present and defend your work
An openness to feedback and creative critique
An interest in working with data to make smart, hardworking creative deliverables
Creative flexibility—you can flex your writing and adjust your language and tone based on your audience or platform
A desire to build and evolve the Square brand
The ability to push a brand forward with fresh, evolving, creative ideas
Interest in technology and the future evolution of content creation and distribution
