The Automation organization enables and measures the unified customer journey, intelligently empowering customers through Square's ecosystem of products. Marketing Technology (MarTech) is an essential team within the Automation organization and is focused on making growth and analytics more effective and efficient. MarTech binds the tools, technology, data, and individual team initiatives across Square to grow the entire ecosystem.
As our Analytics Program Manager, you will develop and scale Square's self-serve analytics program, using your program leadership and expertise in analytics tools to empower anyone (regardless of discipline) to leverage Square's data. You will educate teams on the tools in our analytics stack and determine which tool is best suited for their individual needs. This includes funnel reporting, audience segmentation, and event-driven automations through our Customer Data Platform.
You will:
- Collaborate with Product Management, senior leadership, and your peers to develop the strategy for the future of analytics at Square
- Onboard new teams and individuals to our analytics, segmentation, and Customer Data Platform tools
- Oversee the governance of Square's analytics program in partnership with key stakeholders
- Coordinate initial trainings and continuing education sessions with our partners
- Manage data availability within our CDP, identifying gaps and resolving them
- Gather requirements for measurement and marketing automation projects and partner with teams to guide implementation
- Increase adoption of self-serve tools by developing efficient processes, reusable templates, and automating wherever possible
- Develop a center-of-excellence to allow the analytics program to scale responsibly
- Champion the importance of data quality, consistency and availability across the team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of analytics experience, preferably at a startup
- 2+ years leading and growing a company-wide program with multiple stakeholders
- Expertise in building, running, and automating reporting
- Experience with tools that power marketing automation, experimentation, personalization, attribution, and analytics (Amplitude, Customer Data Platforms, Snowflake)
- Understanding of API navigation, databases, system architecture, and other technical concepts
- Experience with Amplitude a bonus
- Product Management or Growth Marketing experience a bonus
