Job Description

The Cash App product compliance team is looking for a Product Compliance Risk and Controls Manager to support the creativity of our Network product, by providing subject-matter expertise in industry best practices and the global regulatory landscape. You will report to a Cash App Compliance Lead. Your goal is establish and manage the Product Compliance Risk and Controls Framework and ensure we identify, assess, build and catalog Cash App product controls. You will use your knowledge of risk and control management, AML, Sanctions, and Product rules and regulations (money transmission, money service business, ACH, cryptocurrencies, OCTs, etc.), to establish product controls that support go to market strategies for new product launches throughout the Cash App ecosystem. This role will report to the Head of Product Compliance and will play a pivotal role in helping build compliant world class digital products and features.

You will:

  • Establish product risk and controls framework and program
  • Conduct product control gap analysis and draft remediation plans
  • Create and maintain product risk and controls database
  • Communicate applicable risks, solutions and costs to all relevant partners
  • Participate in SEVs and help identify causes, solutions and remediation opportunities
  • Support expansion for new product launches by scoping, defining and communicating necessary product control parameters
  • Identify appropriate product control exception report criteria and establish appropriate escalation and remediation policy 
  • Design appropriate compliance metrics to facilitate feedback loop to product on control deficiencies, gaps and impact to compliance program
  • Build a tactical product control road-map and set goals that align with strategic product roadmap
  • Design and draft all relevant program documentation, content, and processes
  • Remain up-to-date on regulatory changes and landscape, best practices and developments in the industry
  • Design and establish emerging trends program
  • Design new product risk assessment
  • Identify and communicate applicable metrics, KPIs and KRIs for the leadership review
  • Participate in annual risk assessments and audits

Qualifications

You have:

  • 5+ years experience in regulatory risk and controls management
  • 3+ years experience in AML, Sanctions or similar compliance laws and regulations
  • Experience in building a Risk and Controls framework 
  • Technological knowledge of different databases, analytics, and control configurations
  • Knowledge of payments, banking, securities, lending, cryptocurrency and card network rules and regulations
  • Experience in analyzing big data to identify trends
  • Experience in Project management
  • Experience drafting policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Global AML compliance and Banking regulations
