Job Description

People are the driving force behind company success. As a Business Recruiter, Marketing & Creative at Square, you will occupy a strategic function that enables growth and shapes our culture. You will partner with our growing teams to identify unique talent and guide recruiting strategies across marketing, creative, and product marketing functions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing an exceptional candidate experience while serving as a strategic advisor to our teams. Reporting to the Recruiting Manager for Marketing & Comms, Creative, and Product Marketing, you will build relationships and collaborate with senior recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and team goals.


You will: 

  • Build relationships and collaborate with senior management and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and team goals,
  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process, from kicking off a new search, job description development, building a robust evaluation strategy, sourcing and closing candidates
  • Partner with the broader recruiting team, HRBPs, Finance, Talent Programs, Compensation and I&D to ensure a holistic, efficient and scalable approach to recruiting,
  • Be a consultative advisor to the business, leading strategic discussions to build teams,
  • Prioritize and delegate open headcount in partnership with your manager,
  • Provide mentorship or indirect leadership on various recruiting best practices,
  • Execute against a unique sourcing strategies to build diverse pools of candidate

You have:

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably working with marketing teams in a financial or technical environment 
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with internal and external stakeholders
  • A solution oriented mindset - you see potential challenges as opportunities to learn and grow
  • Experience building sourcing strategies that go beyond LinkedIn Recruiter
  • A passion for building effective, cohesive teams
  • Consultative communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and achieve results within a distributed workforce
