Job Description

Talent acquisition is a strategic function that enables Squares growth, shapes our culture, and identifies top talent. As an APAC Recruiter in the Australian team, you will report to the Head of Square Business Recruiting in the US, and partner with global and local Square leaders on APAC recruiting strategies. We pride ourselves on crafting processes and programs that align with individual teams’ needs, so creativity and flexibility are requirements for success. With that also comes autonomy and the freedom to experiment, which when measured effectively, drives decisions that allow Square recruiting to improve.

You will:

  • Build relationships and collaborate with global recruiters, hiring managers, and local stakeholders to drive comprehensive recruiting strategies for the APAC market across technical positions

  • Think creatively and bring an innovative framework to talent acquisition

  • Assist with managing and growing our employment brand and recruiting presence

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience

  • Partner with the broader recruiting team to build efficient and scalable recruiting processes

  • Source active and passive candidates from a variety of sources and communities: online and internal databases, employee referrals, events, networking and research

  • Be a consultative advisor to the business, leading strategic discussions to build teams holistically

Qualifications

You have:

  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting/sourcing experience, preferably inhouse 

  • Experience recruiting for a variety of technical roles (e.g. IT Support, Electrical Engineer, Hardware Packing Product) in the Australian market

  • Bilingual fluency is preferred (English and Mandarin and/or Japanese, etc)

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems while collaborating with business partners to achieve a common goal

  • Consultative communication skills while working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organization

  • Experience building sourcing strategies that go beyond LinkedIn Recruiter

  • Ability to thrive in a data and metrics driven environment

  • The ability to work autonomously across multiple timezones, driving recruiting projects to successful conclusion
