Job Description
We are looking for a creative individual to join Square as a Product Marketing Manager on the Square Appointments team. This Product Marketing Manager will work with product managers and creative to achieve the team's marketing goals and accelerate growth for the business. You will focus on developing, and optimizing marketing campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels. Your success means you can design, launch and analyze marketing campaigns to improve goals and engagement across Square's products.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated to dive in and learn by doing. You have a understanding of product strategy and experience with SaaS business models. You will can ramp up quickly, partner well with cross-functional teams, and work against goals.
You Will:
- Lead the ideation and execution of campaigns that increase growth for our business, partnering with product, creative, engineering, analysts, design, legal, channel managers, and marketing operations
- Lead the go-to-market plan, ensuring that all customer-facing teams are on-message and maximizing each channel
- Identify target segments, their needs, and how products will meet those needs through surveys, interviews, and product usage
- Develop product positioning, value propositions, and important messaging to be used in product development and marketing campaigns
- Understand the landscape, industry, pain points, and ongoing differentiation for target audiences, to inform the product roadmap and marketing strategy
- Oversee product's pricing and packaging
- Enable sales and account managers with the right information to conduct upsell and outbound campaigns through educational materials/collateral
- Scale products to 100's of thousands of users
- Work with Square's outstanding product marketing, marketing, design and product teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience
- 2+ years in product marketing, growth or lifecycle marketing, or similar go-to-market experience Previous background in SaaS marketing, with experience in either consumer apps / technologies, early stage startups, or with exposure to small business audiences
- Experience working with product teams to determine product strategy
- Strong quantitative analytical ability
- Comfort in a face-paced, startup environment
- Genuine interest in and curiosity in helping small businesses succeed
