Job Description

Square is looking for a data-driven marketer with expertise in driving user acquisition growth through Programmatic Display advertising. As a member of the Growth Marketing team, you will drive profitable growth for Square Ecommerce by leading the strategy across one of our direct response channels. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, creative, and fast-growing business. You will report to a Lead within the Growth Marketing Team. Additionally, you have a desire to problem solve with teams like Analytics, PMM & Design to reach creative solutions.

You Will:

  • Lead the direct response strategy and launch Square Ecommerce's programmatic campaigns end-to-end across multiple DSPs (DV360, Quantcast)
  • Create testing roadmaps, media plans, traffic ads and improve campaigns with a focus on driving the best return on effort and investment
  • Measure and prioritize testing plans in areas such as creative, audience segmentation, placement / network selection, and 3rd-party tool evaluation
  • Negotiate and complete Private Marketplace (PMP), Data Management Platform (DMP) & direct deals
  • Guide the creative development process using industry best practices in partnership with PMM & Design
  • Synthesize findings into relevant insights to shape media plans and report on best practices with cross-functional teams
  • Test new channels to promote incremental conversions and revenue for the business
  • Develop relationships with our display partners to ensure we're following best practices and gaining access to relevant betas
  • Stay current with advances in digital marketing, competitive landscape, and macro environment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience guiding growth through display and programmatic channels
  • Direct experience in multiple DSPs (DV360, TradeDesk, Quantcast)
  • Track record handling complex strategies, high campaign volume, large budgets and driving quantifiable results
  • A firm grasp of data analysis, A/B Testing, and metrics driven (performance) marketing
  • Familiarity with ad serving & tracking technologies
  • Knowledge and interest in other marketing channels such as paid search, paid social, and video advertising
  • Experience with multi-touch attribution and media mix models
  • Passionate about marketing and keep up to date with industry trends and cutting edge technology solutions
  • High level of autonomy, self-motivation, and resourcefulness
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage partnership, promote enthusiasm, and foster strategic thinking
  • Knowledge of Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) / Google Sheets and basic SQL
  • Minimum BA/BS or equivalent practical experience
