Job Description

Square is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our team. You will report to our Income Tax Team and will oversee all aspects of international income tax compliance matters affecting our business. You will work with different teams across the organization including International Accounting, Treasury, Stock Admin, and Legal.

You will:

  • Coordinate the non-US tax compliance of international subsidiaries, which includes the corporate income tax returns and local information reporting (i.e. R&D study information requests, capital contribution disclosures, and WHT reportings)
  • Oversee the quarterly tax payment estimates for the international subsidiaries
  • Provide PBC information and address questions of local country tax advisors
  • Monitor international tax law changes that affect the corporate income tax filings
  • Review returns prepared by advisors and communicate information gaps or identified issues with management
  • Help prepare statutory tax provisions and aspects of the global tax provision, where needed

Qualifications

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
  • At least 4 years of Income Tax experience with a public accounting firm or equivalent experience
  • Experience reviewing US and international income tax returns
  • Project management and planning experience
  • Availability to work in Pacific Standard (PST) timezone if working remotely

Even Better:

  • Experience with ASC 740 and tax provisions
