Job Description
The Head of Supply Chain Systems role is the Product Owner and internal Customer Success Manager for Square’s expanding portfolio of Supply Chain business systems. The Head of Supply Chain Systems will assume a leadership role in defining the strategy and vision for how we transform the Supply Chain and Logistics processes at Square through collaboration with team members.You will provide the interface between multiple departments within Square and our dedicated team of engineers, business analysts, and architects. You will consult and guide stakeholders to maximize the value of connected applications and data. Furthermore, you will provide overall vision for our existing technology investments ensuring that transformation in technology and processes is done seamlessly and cost-effectively. This technical leader will be focused on identifying industry best practices when it comes to technology methods, tools, and best practices and communicating and applying these insights across the Supply Chain and Logistics technology teams. You will provide leadership in platform development and work with the Hardware Supply Chain team to encourage agreement and adoption for our vision. You will balance strategic vision and approach problems from a data and systems-design perspective. You will work with a variety of partners to understand their current workflows, identify gaps and goals, develop requirements, prioritize projects and lead product roadmaps, from conception through launch to ongoing development and operational oversight. You will manage a team that can scale and produce work that establishes credibility and world class solutions.
You Will:
Partner with departments to understand current and future state needs help to shape those outcomes
Be the lead advocate for the Supply Chain platform to the business
Build and refine the Supply Chain and Logistics roadmap in close collaboration with business and Biztech stakeholders
Leverage the existing Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Platform. At the same time, look at industry best practices and recommend amazing solutions beyond Oracle if those provide a better fit to our needs
Lead the discussion/decision on build vs buy for solving problems
Lead the Engineering team for builds, where packaged solutions are not best fit
Lead a team of Business System Analysts and Architects to support the Supply chain, Logistics, Demand/Supply planning teams
Champion the use of effective Agile methodology within our development teams
Create our cloud 1st strategy
Strategize all future tech/software investments to align with goals and establish KPIs/metrics
Promote metric-driven approach and instill elements into the architecture that deliver insights to run the business effectively
Work with our important 3rd party partners understanding their roadmaps and position Square to take advantage of them
Communicate on the vision and provide presentations on that strategy to our leadership team
Collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization while leading complex projects and initiatives
Manage Vendor relationship
Qualifications
You Have:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in technology leadership roles focused on Supply Chain, Logistics technology, Planning, Inventory Management - vision, planning, architecture, and scope
Demonstrated design and implementation experience with major cloud platforms in the Supply Chain and Logistics Technology space
BS or MS in any of the technology disciplines
Strong knowledge of B2B, Contract manufacturing processes
Experience on demand and Supply planning processes and tools
Broad knowledge of software development and software testing methodologies along with change and configuration management practices in internally hosted, and cloud-hosted environments
