Job Description
The UK Square Marketing team works to acquire new Square sellers through end-to-end digital acquisition and via our sales team. We’re looking for a lead gen expert to build strategies and campaigns to improve our automated onboarding of small businesses through email and content marketing, and fill our sales team pipeline with strong leads from larger businesses. You will build a robust lead gen programme for the UK business. You’ll manage a database of prospective leads, and use this database to build always-on and ad-hoc lead generation and nurturing campaigns that achieve Return on investment for Square. You will identify and nurture merchants that convert into Square customers. Reporting to the UK Head of Marketing, you will play an important role in a growing team.
You will:
- Work with the sales team and data analysts to design a lead generation strategy, plan and tactics for the UK market
- Advise on requirements for long-term growth, including resourcing / investment requirements
- Help our sales team to be as effective as possible in both their inbound and outbound efforts, with the objective of increasing efficiency and maximising ROI, including advising on collateral, audience segmentation, targeting and new opportunities for growth
- Work with Product, Content, Sales and SEO specialists to ensure our creative briefs, website and social content, creative assets, campaign landing pages, emails, collateral and experiential activity fits within the overarching lead gen strategy and achieves value for the business
- Ensure all lead gen efforts are measured and tracked, with clear reporting on ROI
- Develop automated and one-off campaigns to nurture leads down the conversion funnel
- Be an expert in marketing automation best practice, lead form creation, email marketing and gated content
- Ensure all leads are tracked and managed via a marketing automation platform; nurture high-value leads until they are qualified for our sales team
- Measure and analyse campaign performance to inform ongoing marketing strategy, aligning with our global reporting approaches
Qualifications
- 6+ years’ experience in relevant sales / business development / marketing roles
- The ability to analyse a marketing funnel and identify the best opportunities for growth
- A strong understanding of marketing automation systems
- An eye for design and a solid understanding of the value of content marketing
- Experience utilising lead gen activity to capture and put to use relevant audience data in a GDPR compliant way
- Experience balancing projects and making sound strategic decisions on the best way forward
- First-hand, in-depth experience with Marketo, Salesforce, and marketing operations
- Leadership experience
