Job Description

The Marketing Web team oversees the core experiences (e.g. navigation, home page, integrations) and underlying platform of our customer-facing websites ( The marketing website is our face and first impression for many customers. The navigation and site architecture are the maps that guide customers towards value. The platform supports all of this and empowers individual product teams to create their own experiences. We build platform tools that have outsized benefits and help other teams at Square to iterate faster. Together, this paints a vivid picture for our customers on how the Square ecosystem can solve their needs — today and tomorrow. 

As the Product Manager for this team, you will guide projects from creation through execution. You will be in the unique position of having your customers be Square sellers and our teams (e.g. product marketing, engineering, design). You will need strategic thinking, execution, and superb partner management. You will guide growth metrics and oversee the details of the solution from deep in the stack through the end-user experience.  You will also collaborate with designers, engineers, analysts, marketers, and other cross-functional team members within the organization to ensure that our platform provides a remarkable experience for developers to build in, marketers to launch on, and merchants to learn throughout. You will: 

  • Set the vision, roadmap, and direction for the team in tight collaboration with design, engineering, and analytics
  • Lead the planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects to achieve all of our goals
  • Determine features, write product specs, organize user studies, improve feedback, help write test plans, manage the backlog, and ship
  • Represent the team with partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization.
  • Educate others on the capabilities and best practices of the platform
  • Create awareness and conversion of products through our website as a channel
  • Foster an environment that enables the team to build quickly while maintaining a high standard for quality


You have:

  • 4+ years of Product Management or closely related experience
  • Customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
  • Experience building platforms or working with design systems
  • Navigated difficult situations with competing partner needs
  • Experience shipping and iterating on successful products at scale, with cross-functional teams
  • Nice to have: Experience with marketing technologies and content management systems
  • Nice to have: Served as an evangelist for a product group or developer platform
