Job Description

The Globalization team helps to bring Square products and services to the world. Our goal is to leverage our success in the US and deliver innovative, simple, unique, and fully localized experiences to our international customers. We are looking for a highly motivated project manager to join our fun and fast-paced team to help us shape Square’s message striving for maximum local relevance and amplifying our brand and products in key markets around the globe.

You Will:

  • Drive Marketing Localization initiatives and engage cross-functionally with in-country teams, internal partners and external providers to manage and deliver a variety of localized assets for all supported locales.

  • Schedule, manage, coordinate and track localization projects milestones, deliverables while ensuring alignment with product initiatives and cross functional priorities

  • Manage transcreation and localization for video scripts and marketing campaign deliverables including web pages and digital assets.

  • Craft localization processes that are effective, efficient and inclusive of multiple teams needs and requirements. 

 

  • Manage external linguists and LSPs and in-country resources to ensure consistency of method and approach to ultimately deliver high quality localized content

  • Effectively partner with internal teams to best support Square’s global presence 

  • Evangelize localization best practices and ensure both external and internal partners’ compliance

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in Localization project management including vendor management 

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of globalization including product and marketing localization

  • Familiarity with Marketing transcreation, Video, Product and Website localization process and technology

  • Experience with globalization management systems, content management systems, video localization tools and LQA testing methodologies. 

  • Ability to identify requirements and prioritize critical deliverables and clearly articulate status updates to different audiences filtering relevant information

  • Experience as an excellent team player in a fast-paced multi-cultural team

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with technical and non technical stakeholders

  • Exceptional attention to detail

Nice to Have:

  • Fluency in at least 1 or 2 languages besides English. Preference for Spanish, Italian, German,  or Japanese fluency

  • Experience with collecting and analyzing localization data and identifying patterns that can be actionable
