Job Description
As a part of our creative operations team, the Creative Resource Manager is responsible for the efficient management of resources across multiple internal Creative teams, including product-focused creative squads and a central creative studio. They will partner with creative leads, program and project managers, and traffic to assign resources to new projects, ensure resource allocations are tracked across projects, and identify and navigate ongoing resource gaps and blockers across the creative organization.
Responsibilities
Build systems to record data and metrics for reporting resource allocations across our different working models and forecasted needs. Create scalable solutions to meet Creative-Studio resource needs.
Manage Studio project intake, working with the traffic manager. Develop system to assign weekly resource allocations for new projects and check-ins for ongoing projects. Create plans for resourcing against partner teams’ roadmaps.
Working with program managers, develop frameworks for squad resource measurement and allocation, including allocation across squads or squad resources supporting Studio.
Support creative and production teams that engage partially or wholly with other teams, including web and other marketing channels, working with our producers and project managers on tracking and reporting.
Manage network of external talent to create additional bandwidth for priority projects or anticipated peak workloads.
Collaborate with Creative Leads to foster support and day-to-day management of freelancer and agency staff, specific to their roles and responsibilities.
Partner with the Creative Business Affairs team to efficiently onboard talent for new assignments.
Become point of contact for tracking time and costs of freelance resources.
Identify gaps in resourcing new projects, whether it be quantity, quality, or opportunities to identify and add to the team’s capabilities.
Proactively work with Creative Leads to identify opportunities for collaboration and growth of team members to better assist all Creative-Studio projects.
Qualifications
Requirements
Eight to ten years of hands-on resource and/or studio management
Broad experience working directly in a high-volume, fast-paced, constantly changing creative environment
Proven problem solver with expert knowledge of creative workflow best practices
Ability to construct workable solutions when presented with multiple and, often times, conflicting points of view
Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage time
Unflappable, with the ability to bring a sense of calm assurance to high-energy interactions
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, listening, and communication skills
Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments
Experience with Google Suite documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and creative workflow software, e.g., JIRA
