Square is looking for a Senior Designer to join our award-winning Creative Studio team. You will collaborate with our different product teams, including PMs, PMMs, Art Directors, Product Designers and Engineers to create smart solutions that help tell the story of Square’s brand and growing ecosystem of products. You will collaborate on a cross-disciplinary team delivering work for print and digital experiences, create compelling visual design solutions, be involved in prototyping, experiential installations, photography, video, and animation.

This is a crucial, hands-on role that requires the ability to translate project strategy into great design experiences. Our designers are a central part of a team of program managers, art directors, designers, copywriters, creative strategists, and engineers. For us, design isn’t static; it moves, talks, sings and vibrates. You will need to think in three dimensions; static, print, moving animations and how people interact with your design.

Responsibilities:

Produce brand and campaign standards, templates, and style guides
Work collaboratively on projects to create concepts/mood boards, graphic elements/solutions, and visual treatments
Contribute and communicate with a team that includes designers, producers, product strategists, copywriters and engineers
Create video & motion graphics style frames, exhibition graphics, print collateral, presentation designs, information graphics, branding and digital advertisements
You may also co-direct photo shoots and design physical installations
Support and mentor other designers

Qualifications

You have:

4+ years of industry experience
Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Sketch / Figma
Ability to execute multiple styles of design and illustration
Mastery and experimentation of design fundamentals (color, typographic skills, layout)
Understand the opportunities and limitations of different mediums

Plus:

Experience leading projects through design process
Animation/motion graphics knowledge in software such as After Effects or Cinema 4D
