The Global Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supporting thoughtful and well executed events, whether it's a meeting for 10 or a company-wide gathering for 3,000+, for a fast growing, increasingly distributed, global company.
You’re a self-starting, logistics-loving, multitasking go-getter and never hesitate to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. You see challenges as opportunities to get creative. You move fast, but methodically. You love detailed timelines and seeing your ideas come to life in event form, and you know how to maintain grace under pressure.
You will:
● Coordinate and oversee a high volume of internal and external facing events by collaborating
directly with teams across the company. This will involve balancing multiple event processes and competing priorities at a time.
● Execute large-scale event production and logistics including: registration, attendee
communications, transportation, catering, A/V production, design, décor, branding, etc.
● Assemble planning committees in order to create a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere at
events.
● Develop and maintain relationships with internal event support teams, executive staff and
external event vendors to guarantee successful experiences.
● Manage complex (and sometimes competing) event budgets, calendars, timelines, and
strategies.
● Spend time researching and interacting with our sellers for event-related activations
● Work closely with your fellow event coordinators to create yearly roadmaps for event
programming and have the flexibility to change course when needed.
Qualifications
You have:
● 3-5 years of experience in an events coordination role.
● Demonstrated vendor management experience.
● Demonstrated project management experience.
● An appreciation for fostering company culture, crazy ideas, collaboration, and community.
● Excellent customer service skills (you work with your customers – our employees – every day!)
● Availability for flexible hours/after hours work and occasional travel is required.
● Good independent decision making skills and an obsession with checklists.
● Experience using internal ticketing tools and event management software a plus.
● Can-do attitude and the ability to solve a wide variety of problems quickly and with sound
judgement.
