Job Description

The Caviar Operations Analyst is an analytical, organized, motivated individual who will play a key role in driving Caviar’s growth and operational performance. You will work with stakeholders across the country to analyze, test, and optimize our courier logistics network - from improving our courier loyalty program to designing complex market operations strategy. When you identify a problem, you’ll dig in and get scrappy to quickly analyze it, recommend a solution, and then implement it. You are a force-multiplier, taking input from many individuals and data sources and developing scaled approaches to problem-solving.

 

You are hungry to succeed and willing to roll up your sleeves to make it in a fast-moving company at the forefront of on-demand food delivery and ordering. You can communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and are solution oriented. Reporting to Caviar’s Courier Lifecycle Management Lead/Market Operations Management Lead, this role will allow you to make a significant impact on how Caviar scales its operations in new and existing markets. 

You Will:

  • Identify opportunity areas, conduct analyses and research, as well as launch programs and measure results for a variety of operational initiatives including courier retention, growth forecasting, courier fleet utilization, and related projects.

  • Partner with and manage negotiations for external vendors/stakeholders who will drive value for operational initiatives

  • Manage an ever-growing suite of software and data tools to ensure our teams have access to the latest strategies and best practices.

  • Build diagnostic tools and dashboards to support business managers / initiatives, making it easy to identify and solve problems with data.

  • Test, test, and test! You’ll challenge every assumption by designing, executing, and measuring meaningful tests that impact critical business operations.

  • Lead focus groups and interview stakeholders to get a holistic understanding of the challenges facing Caviar’s operations teams.

  • Publish your findings via well-documented, rigorous, and statistically sound studies to a range of internal stakeholders, including communications, legal, and management teams.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in an operations, business intelligence, strategy or management consulting role

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with SQL, and expertise with Sheets/Excel. Experience with Looker is nice-to-have

  • A bias for action to identify opportunities and act on them

  • A demonstrated ability and desire to think and act like an owner. You take a highly proactive approach to identifying challenges, developing solutions, and taking charge of the implementation

  • The skill-set to work cross-functionally to accomplish tasks, projects and solve problems to achieve company objectives

  • A desire to understand how all parts of the Caviar business works

  • Experience working on a marketplace/on-demand product is a plus
