Job Description

Square’s Sales organization drives aggressive revenue growth for the company by deeply understanding our Sellers’ stories and helping them onboard world-class solutions to grow their businesses.  The team balances an infectiously positive attitude with a drive to win and see our company grow alongside our customers.

The Sales Strategy, Operations, and Productivity (SOPS) team owns the functional workstreams that amplify the success of our salespeople.  Our analysts have a hybrid of skills across strategic planning, analytics, process excellence, and systems optimization. As an Operations Analyst, you will be contributing to some of our most important foundational projects - and working with some of Sales’ top leadership - to build out an infrastructure that will enable the Sales team to execute efficiently and accurately.

You Will:

  • Own Sales team tools, metrics, and analytical infrastructure that is used to run our business

  • Consult with global Sales leadership to identify automation opportunities and process efficiencies that will help our business grow

  • Understand our salespeoples’ pain points and modify our tool processes for productivity gains 

  • Align with (and learn from) cross-functional partners in Finance/Sales Comp, Platform Infrastructure, Business Systems, and more


You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree required: major in analytical or technical field preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience: ideally in sales operations, management consulting, or other analytical work

  • Solid understanding of SQL: you can independently write your own queries

  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel / Google Apps: elegant analyses and documentation

  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce and Marketo) and data visualization tools (Looker/Tableau)

  • Demonstrated collaboration across global functions including finance, product, marketing, analytics, etc

  • Creative problem-solving skills and attitude - willingness to build new deliverables/processes from scratch

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to influence others effectively
