Job Description

We are hiring a Lead to accelerate the delivery of our Square eCommerce and Marketplaces products into the UK and European markets. You will have an opportunity to make quantifiable impact on our business through leading the localisation and go to market strategy and execution for these new product launches. You will leverage seller feedback, insights, and data analysis to advocate for feature improvements that enhance Squares existing product offering in-market. You will optimise the commercial relationships and product proposition in existing markets. You will also be the key point of contact for working with our developer team in-region.  This is an extremely cross-functional role that will involve liaising with our product teams in the US as well as collaborating with local stakeholders to ensure the success of our products in the UK and Europe. We are looking for someone who is analytical, hard working, customer focused and excited about helping us better serve the small businesses who use Square products. As a member of the European Leadership team, you will be expected to also contribute to the growth of the business in a broader leadership capacity.

You will:

  • Localise eCommerce and developer products available in the US to serve the UK and European markets and develop entirely new products to meet market needs

  • Help our US-based product teams engage with the UK and European markets and understand the experiences of the businesses we serve

  • Use research, data analysis and customer insights to develop hypotheses of product ideas/features to test

  • Lead cross-functional go to market planning, execution and optimization for new product launches engaging with Sales, Support, Marketing and Product Management

  • Lead annual product strategic planning efforts for developer, eCommerce and marketplaces under guidance EU Business Lead

  • Track product profit and loss for eCommerce product lines and drive actions in collaboration with sales and marketing to ensure product line targets are met

  • Be the trusted voice of sellers by surfacing qualitative and quantitative insights to shape the product direction and marketing messaging

  • Partner with product management, design and engineering to define the strategy and product roadmap

  • Roll up your sleeves, no task is too small

Qualifications

You have:

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 10+ years of experience in a Marketing, Analyst, or related Product role in the technology industry

  • An analytical and structured thought process with the ability to assess business opportunities and work on strategic initiatives

  • Excellent organisation, collaboration, written and verbal skills

  • Experience communicating to senior executives and influencing a cross-functional team

  • A passion and knowledge about how new technologies can help better serve businesses of all sizes

  • Comfort in a face-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment

  • Be able to travel to US once a quarter and Dublin monthly/bi-monthly
