Squares Account Management organization works with Squares largest merchants to grow their businesses and to deliver insights to Squares product teams. We aim to use data to shape merchant engagement strategy, to measure & improve team impact, and to help inform Squares product roadmap. We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Account Management Strategy & Operations Team to power Account Managements strategy, analysis, processes, and tools to drive revenue growth and efficiency.
In this role, you will increase the productivity and revenue impact of the Account Management team through a combination of analyses, initiatives, and process improvements. You will need to synthesize insights through the vast amount of data captured by Square and develop actionable strategies that will help grow our sellers and their engagement with Square. You will work closely with leaders in the organization and cross-functional partners to drive program strategy and execution. The successful candidate will possess a passion for innovative analysis, processes that scale, and the ability to develop findings and recommendations that transcend the numbers.
Develop and deliver performance analysis and program recommendations to inform executive decisions
Identify tools, processes, and automation that will improve Account Management operations
Own the Account Management team metrics, reporting, and dashboards we use to run the business
Evaluate the efficiency of Account Management channels & new initiatives and advise Account Management leadership on where to focus to maximize returns
Interact regularly with stakeholders across all areas of the company
Bachelor degree required, with a major in an analytical or technical field strongly preferred
2+ years of analytical experience, ideally in analytics, business operations, finance, or consulting
Expertise in data analysis and manipulation using database (SQL) and Visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Excel, etc)
Demonstrated experience applying quantitative analysis and logical reasoning to drive business outcomes
Creativity in developing actionable analysis and recommendations
Strong communication skills and business acumen
Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
Ability to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
