Job Description

 We are looking for a talented Business Operations Manager (Retail, Peripherals) to join our Hardware Operations team. The individual should be experienced in managing commercial relationships with third party and retail distribution partners for hardware products. The individual will be responsible for establishing hardware business partnerships, managing costs, negotiating contracts, and resolving all commercial related issues.

You will:

  • Manage the strategy, execution, and analysis of Square’s global retail supply chain, leading multidisciplinary projects to build processes and systems for product fulfillment and oversight of retail distribution partners and third party peripheral suppliers.  

  • Manage day-to-day partnership and operations with warehouse and transportation teams, financial business systems teams (Oracle ERP) and downstream customers (Distributors, Retailers, etc).

  • Establish and maintain a partnership selection criteria and execute the process of evaluating and on-boarding new distribution partners and peripheral suppliers.

  • Negotiate and execute master contracts and Statements of Work with distribution partners and suppliers

  • Collaborate with internal accounting and operations teams to manage retail chargebacks and returns

  • Lead and conduct Quarterly Business Review with key partners to evaluate on-going performance across sales support, operational excellence, and cost competitiveness


You have:

  • 5 to 7 years of related experience in retail and vendor management

  • A demonstrated ability to manage the operational and sales complexity of Fortune 500 partners/customers

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Acute attention to detail and are results-oriented

  • Strong Excel and Keynote/PowerPoint skills

  • International and retail experience is a plus, but not required
