Brand Marketing Manager

Square is looking for a strategic, creative and results-oriented marketing member to own our Brand Marketing effort in Japan. Brand Marketing Manager Japan ensures that the right customers are getting the right brand message, through the right channels at the right time. You will be responsible for developing overall brand strategy for Square products and executing it to build Square Brand and to increase product awareness/usage in the market.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for representing our sellers voice through branding while having strong understanding of product strategy and positioning, and a track record of cross-functional coordination to launch brand campaigns from social to ATL. They should also possess a breadth of functional experience in client management, partnerships, and demonstrate strong execution capability.
Define the strategy, roadmap and success metrics for Square Japan brand
Be the trusted voice of sellers by surfacing qualitative and quantitative insights to shape the product direction and brand messaging
Coordinate with stakeholders in headquarter to deliver global brand message
Collaborate with Marketing channels, PR, analytics, sales and support to develop cross-functional effort.
Identify target customers, their needs, and how Square brand will meet those needs
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of brand marketing experience. Experience in B2B branding is a plus.
Experience in communicating with senior executives and internal stakeholders, and influencing cross-functional team
Strong quantitative analytical ability and excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Japanese and English
Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
Genuine interest in and curiosity about Technology, Small Business and Finance
