Primary responsibilities

• Perform IIoT devices performance tests at the Radio Frequency system level
• Monitor RF KPIs and Debug issues to optimize performance of smart devices in a Mine environment
• Develop and perform RF testing of new devices being deployed in a mine
• Perform test cases which may include transmit power, transmit mask, gain, phase noise, spurious emissions, antenna gain patterns, EIRP, radiated emissions and other regulatory tests or standards
• Test BLE devices and standards and debug issues related to device performance
• Write engineering test reports

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of radio frequency characterization parameters
• Master in the use of RF laboratory equipment (RF test equipment, spectrum analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope)
• Knowledge of cell phone technologies (GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, LTE-M)
• Experience with connected protocols including WiFi and BLE
• Experience debugging the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol over-the-air with protocol analyzers 
• Ability to debug radio frequency assemblies
• Ability to read and write basic scripts/coding
• Familiar with FCC / RED / 3GPP standards for cellular products
