Job Description

The Service Desk Specialist I is responsible for supporting the productivity of company staff by ensuring they have the proper and functioning IT equipment, and timely resolving or escalating issues as they arise.

The essential duties for this role include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide technology resources to support the onboarding of all new employees.
  • Monitors ticketing system to ensures timely resolution of problems while ensuring that customers are satisfied  
  • Ensures that status of tickets and project tasks are kept up to date.
  • Track, route and redirect problems to the correct resources
  • Walk customers through problem solving process where appropriate
  • Accurately communicates pertinent information. 
  • Solves problems and makes decisions on a daily basis relative to Service Desk responsibilities. 
  • Recommends procedure modifications and or improvements to increase the efficiency of the organization.
  • Must be willing to work in the Kansas City Office
     

 

Qualifications

  • IT background
  • Customer service skills
  • Able to problem solf and resolve issues independently
  • Self-starter
