OVERVIEW 

The Market Intelligence Analyst will deliver market and commercial intelligence across the global sports betting, iGaming, sports technology and sports media ecosystem, supporting strategic decision-making across Sportradar. 

 

The role is responsible for researching, analysing and assessing information relating to competitors, customers, partners, suppliers, investors, rights holders and emerging market participants. By delivering actionable intelligence and commercial insights, the analyst will support strategic decision-making, rights initiatives, and broader business development opportunities across the organisation. 

 

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and a thorough understanding of the sports betting and iGaming industry. They will be comfortable analysing market developments, competitive activity, financial performance and industry trends, translating complex information into concise intelligence products for senior stakeholders. 

 

THE CHALLENGE 

  • Conduct market and competitive intelligence research across the global sports betting, iGaming, sports technology and sports media sectors.  

  • Analyse the broader sports betting and iGaming ecosystem, identifying relationships between operators, suppliers, technology providers, rights holders, media companies, affiliates and investors. 

  • Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes, market trends, strategic partnerships, investments, mergers and acquisitions across both sports betting and iGaming segments. 

  • Analyse company financial performance, business models, product offerings, commercial strategies and market positioning.  

  • Identify emerging market opportunities, market risks and competitive threats relevant to Sportradar's business.  

  • Produce concise, actionable intelligence products including market assessments, competitor profiles, ecosystem maps, commercial due diligence, executive briefings and strategic recommendations. 

  • Develop and maintain intelligence holdings relating to key industry stakeholders, organisations, investors and executives.  

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to consolidate, validate and disseminate intelligence across the business.  

  • Support strategic initiatives through market analysis, commercial due diligence research and strategic assessments.  

  • Identify capability gaps, product innovations and technology trends across the industry.  

  • Contribute to the continued development of Sportradar's market intelligence capabilities, methodologies and knowledge repositories. 

 

YOUR PROFILE 

  • 3+ years' experience in market intelligence, competitive intelligence, business analysis, commercial strategy, investment research or a related analytical field. 

  • Demonstrable experience within the sports betting and/or iGaming industry. 

  • Strong understanding of the global betting and iGaming ecosystem, including operators, platform providers, suppliers, affiliates and regulatory frameworks. 

  • Experience conducting open-source intelligence (OSINT) and commercial research using public filings, company reports, regulatory disclosures, industry databases and other publicly available sources. 

  • Experience conducting structured market research and producing intelligence-led assessments for business decision-makers. 

  • Ability to analyse company financial performance, industry trends, market dynamics and competitive positioning. 

  • Ability to interpret complex information and translate it into clear, commercially relevant insights and recommendations. 

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent research capabilities and experience synthesising information from multiple sources. 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting findings to senior stakeholders. 

  • Naturally curious with a passion for understanding markets, businesses and competitive dynamics. 

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities. 

  • Resourceful, proactive and commercially minded. 

  • Fluent English essential, additional languages are advantageous. 

Advantageous 

  • Experience working within a sports betting operator, iGaming company, gaming supplier, sports technology provider or industry consultancy. 

  • Experience conducting market sizing, commercial due diligence, competitor benchmarking or M&A-related research. 

  • Knowledge of the sports media, sports rights, data licensing or broader sports technology ecosystem. 

  • Experience analysing regulated sports betting and iGaming markets across multiple jurisdictions. 

  • Experience using business intelligence, data visualisation or intelligence analysis tools (e.g. Power Bi, Tableau or Qlik Sense). 

  • Relevant degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Sports Management or a related discipline. 

Additional Information

The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.
