This is a new role in our Regulatory Services unit, focused on developing a market-leading monitoring tool for responsible gaming. You will help build this exciting new product catering to the needs of both bookmakers and regulators to create a safer, more responsible, and sustainable gambling industry. You’ll gain as much accountability as you can handle and have a huge influence on designing, building, and growing the product.

THE CHALLENGE:
AWS and EKS Services Integration:
- Collaborate with product development teams to seamlessly integrate and optimize AWS services, with a specific emphasis on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) for container orchestration.
- Leverage AWS and EKS services for data storage, compute, messaging, and other infrastructure needs.
AI/ML Services Integration:
- Work with AI/ML service providers within the AWS ecosystem to enhance user experience, product functionality, and overall product intelligence.
- Implement automation in the CI/CD pipeline, leveraging AWS and EKS services for seamless integration.
GitFlow Expertise:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the GitFlow branching model and version control best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the effective use of GitFlow for code collaboration, release management, and bug tracking.
Environment Promotion:
- Implement and manage environment promotion processes, ensuring a smooth transition from development to testing, staging, and production environments.
- Automate and streamline environment promotion workflows in collaboration with development and operations teams.
Kafka and RabbitMQ Integration:
- Integrate and manage Kafka and RabbitMQ within AWS and EKS for effective message streaming, data processing, queuing, and handling high-volume, high-throughput event-driven systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal utilization of Kafka and RabbitMQ for event-driven architectures.
Scaling and Observability:
- Implement and manage scalable infrastructure solutions to handle varying workloads, particularly in high-volume, high-throughput scenarios.
- Set up and maintain observability tools for monitoring, logging, and performance analysis, with experience in OpenTelemetry considered an advantage.
Threat Modeling:
- Implement best practice threat modeling throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with security teams to identify and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Utilize IaC principles to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure code for efficient and reproducible deployments.
Vulnerability Scanning:
- Implement and manage vulnerability scanning tools such as SonarQube, WhiteSource, and Renovate.
- Collaborate with development teams to address and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
Collaboration with AWS:
- Work closely with AWS representatives to understand new features, services, and best practices.
- Collaborate with AWS support for troubleshooting, optimizing infrastructure, and addressing scaling challenges.
Automation and CI/CD Pipeline:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for AWS and EKS service integration, deployment, monitoring, and vulnerability scanning.
- Implement AI/ML, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and AWS and EKS-based automation in the CI/CD pipeline for efficient and secure product workflows.
Security Integration:
- Incorporate security as a contextual element in all aspects of the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with AWS security services to ensure the secure integration of AWS, EKS, AI/ML, Kafka, and RabbitMQ services, addressing any potential vulnerabilities or risks.
Configuration Management:
- Utilize configuration management principles and tools for efficient system configuration.
Secret Management:
- Implement robust secret management practices to secure sensitive information.
GitLab Experience (Essential):
- Possess hands-on experience with GitLab for version control and CI/CD processes.
Desired: HashiCorp Technologies (Terraform, Vault, Consul):
- Familiarity with HashiCorp technologies is a plus, although not essential.
Desired: Experience with OpenTelemetry:
- Experience with OpenTelemetry is considered an advantage.
