OVERVIEW:

As the SVP Accounting/CAO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounting function, financial control and systems environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a critical role in managing financial risks and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in providing accurate and timely financial information to support informed decision-making by the executive leadership team and the board of directors.

 

THE REMIT:

  • Manage the company’s accounting activities, internal control processes, internal and external financial reporting, and accounting policies. Ensure they are best-in-class and will scale to support the company’s expected growth.
  • Manage the closing process, and other financial controls; oversee General Ledger functions; assure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with IFRS.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert as the company drives forward with its growth strategy, to include international expansion. Provide critical financial and operational information and make actionable, data-driven recommendations on both strategy and operations.
  • Lead the team to provide an advanced level of service and value to the organization; partner with senior leadership and business leaders to ensure priorities are aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Anticipate internal and external reporting changes and identify the impact of new technical accounting pronouncements across brands.
  • Oversee general ledger functions including production, consolidation and review of monthly-consolidated results and activities for SOX compliance and preparation of audit schedule.
  • Play a significant role in pre-acquisition due diligence and accounting efforts, as well as post-acquisition planning and implementation integration, including those involving multinational businesses.
  • Instil a strong culture of internal controls across the company, including the design and testing of a robust financial control framework.
  • Identify opportunities for continual process improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Lead preparation of the Audit Committee agenda and materials.
  • Build a high performing team; attract, develop and retain top talent.
  • Act as a change agent to drive improved efficiency within the accounting function and upgrade processes and procedures to be best-in-class.

International travelling is involved within this role (at least once per quarter).

YOUR PROFILE:

Pivotal Experience & Expertise

Qualified candidates for the position should demonstrate experience and success with the responsibilities outlined above, and as broadly defined, would also have the following profile:

  • Technical Experience: Chief Accounting Officer of a standalone public company, with strong SEC, IFRS and US GAAP reporting and technical acumen. CPA and early public accounting foundation strongly preferred. US listed foreign filer experience a plus.
  • Domain: Demonstrated track record within a technology or tech-enabled business. Recurring revenue experience is preferred.
  • Growth: Experience scaling and improving processes, systems, control environment and the team during initial years as a public company and during high growth in a business at significant scale. Continuously innovating to introduce best-in-class process, discipline and financial rigor to support and enable the business’ growth. Having seen revenue growth from approximately $1B to $5B is ideal.
  • Global: Experience working across highly complex, global businesses; strong culture builder with the ability to transcend cultural and geographic differences to ensure a cohesive approach worldwide.
  • Systems: Previous experience in ERP migration projects leveraging the benefit of multiple available systems. Experience operating in a Microsoft Dynamics / Onestream ERP environment a plus.

Pay Range: $250,000 - $350,000

Sportradar intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location.
