Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll & Absence Management Consultant

 

Overview

Seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll & Absence Management Consultant to support the Payroll Department during the implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM. This role will partner with Payroll, HR, and IT teams to align business and compliance requirements with system functionality for a successful and timely Go Live.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, validate, and document functional and technical requirements for Payroll and Absence Management.

  • Support design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Oracle Fusion Payroll and Absence Management modules (payroll elements, balances, fast formulas, absence plans, accrual rules).

  • Assist with data conversion, reconciliation, and testing (unit, SIT, UAT, parallel runs).

  • Develop integrations between Oracle Cloud and third-party systems (time and attendance, benefits, finance).

  • Develop and maintain reports using OTBI, BI Publisher, and HCM Extracts.

  • Troubleshoot configuration, data, and interface issues; support defect resolution via Jira.

  • Create documentation (configuration guides, user manuals, process flows) and provide end-user training and support.

  • Provide Post Go Live support during the transition to Oracle Fusion.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, HR, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 5+ years in Oracle HCM Cloud with hands-on expertise in Payroll and Absence Management.

  • Strong understanding of payroll processing, taxation, and compliance.

  • Experience with fast formulas, costing, and legislative data group configurations.

  • Knowledge of time and labor integration and absence accrual processing.

  • Familiarity with Oracle HCM Extracts, APIs, and integration frameworks.

  • At least one full lifecycle Oracle Cloud implementation preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and testing best practices.

Preferred

  • Oracle Cloud HCM Certification (Payroll or Absence Management).

  • Prior experience assisting a Payroll department through an HCM transition or system upgrade.

  • Proficiency in Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher).
