As a Back-End Engineer, you will focus on the design and development of our web applications, API’s and Database that positively impacts the health of our customers in countries around the world.  We are looking for individuals with a strong passion for problem solving and developing software solutions in the medical device industry.  The ideal candidate will have software development experience in Node.js, JavaScript, RESTful Services, MySQL, NoSQL and React and is eager to systematically solve complicated technical problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze business needs and available technologies to deliver quality software solutions
• Work collaboratively as part of a fast paced agile team to complete projects on time
• Evaluate new technologies to ensure software solutions are reliable, scalable and efficient
• Troubleshoot problems identified in the fleet to ensure the platform meets the company’s quality objectives
• Produce high-quality design, code and technical documentation

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficient in developing clean, scalable Web applications in Node.js and MySQL, utilizing RESTful Services with JSON content
• Proficient in building secure networked web applications
• Proficient in design and development of relational and NoSQL databases

PREFERRED

• Experience with AWS including S3, Lambda, Redshift, DynamoDB and Microservices features and in cloud application deployments using Docker within AWS
• Experience developing automated tests using AVA, Jest, and/or Jenkins
• Experience working in a regulated environment
• Ability to read, understand, and execute job functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
