Job Description

As a Sr. Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the holistic experience our employees have with our IT systems as well as remain compliant with industry standards and best practices:

  • Directly assisting employees with IT issues.
  • Maintaining our fleet of endpoints (computers, phones, etc.) with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Purchasing, repair and inventory of computer systems.
  • Implementation, configuration and administration of corporate IT systems (Exchange, etc.)
  • Proactively monitor and remediate issues and potential issues (updates, security, etc.)
  • Assist/Cross train with DevOps, Security, Quality and/or Software development teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure systems meet industry standards and are compliant with relevant. compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, HITECH), perform audits and maintain defensible documentation as evidence.
  • Implement, configure and maintain corporate IT systems (Email, Security tools, etc.)
  • Proactively Audit systems and logs for current or potential issues.
  • Configure and maintain the corporate network, VPN, etc.
  • Answer, assist and solve IT related issues.
  • Order, provision, update, rotate and inventory IT assets.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or  3+ years equivalent experience. 
  • Experience deploying and maintain IT systems.
  • Experience directly assisting end-users.
  • Experience with scripting or software development.
  • Experience with hardening servers, securing data and troubleshooting systems.
  • Experience with Linux, shell scripting and network architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute job functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

PREFERRED

  • Someone who wants to develop their DevOps, Security Analysist, Software Engineer or Quality Engineering skills.
