Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR), a Spectrum Health Care company is seeking Registered Dietitians to provide ministry‑funded dietitian services to adult clients in the community.
This independent contractor role offers a highly flexible work schedule, with casual to part‑time opportunities based on your preferred caseload. Compensation is per visit, allowing you to focus on delivering high‑quality, client‑centered care. Estimated annual earning potential is between $20,000 - $40,000, however actual earnings may vary based on service volumes.

Job Description
- Provide ministry funded, community-based dietitian services in client’s homes and /or through virtual care
- Conduct dietitian assessments using interviews, standardized tools, and informal assessment techniques) in areas including:
- Geriatrics
- Oncology
- Chronic disease management
- Palliative Care
- Develop and implement best practice and evidence-based intervention in collaboration with clients/caregivers
- Provide education to client/caregivers and connect them to appropriate community resources
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation including:
- Assessment findings
- Care plans
- Progress and discharge summaries
- Documentation aligned with referral source and College standards,.
- Complete and maintain documentation related to assessment findings, care plans, progress and discharge summaries according to CAR, referral source, and college standards
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (required)
- Valid G2 or G driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle for community travel
- Community-based dietitian experience is an asset however new graduates are welcome
- Pediatric experience and/or a willingness to learn how to address the needs of the pediatric population
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with an inter-professional team
- Experience in assessment and counselling
- Strong organizational skills, including self-scheduling, prioritization, and meeting reporting deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written and report-writing skills
- Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Office Suite and proprietary clinical software
- Willingness to help with overflow in the other areas of Durham Region as required
