    Job Description

As a Mid/Senior SDET, you will lead the design and implementation of our next-generation quality infrastructure. You will not just write tests; you will architect scalable Python automation frameworks, design complex Kubernetes test environments, and define the long-term quality strategy for our microservices. You will act as a technical mentor to the QA team, driving the adoption of software engineering best practices and ensuring our CI/CD pipelines are cutting-edge.

You will be the bridge between DevOps and Quality, ensuring that "infrastructure-as-code" principles are applied rigorously to our testing domain.

    Responsibilities:

    • Architect Automation Frameworks: Lead the design and development of scalable, object-oriented Python frameworks for E2E, Integration, and API testing. You will define the coding standards and architectural patterns for the QA team.
    • Deep-Dive Defect Analysis: Go beyond "steps to reproduce." You will perform root cause analysis on complex failures, isolating defects within the microservice architecture, logs, or network layer before handing them off to developers.
    • Infrastructure Strategy: Design and manage complex, containerized test environments using Kubernetes (EKS) and Helm. You will create and maintain advanced Helm charts from scratch and implement sophisticated deployment strategies for testing.
    • Quality Gatekeeping & Reporting: Own the "Go/No-Go" metrics. You will be responsible for tracking the QA release status, interpreting quality metrics for stakeholders, and automating the reporting of test results to ensure clear, data-driven release decisions.
    • CI/CD Architecture: Lead the design of our CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity), implementing advanced "Quality Gates," parallelization strategies, and automated environment provisioning to maximize engineering velocity.
    • Drive Performance Engineering: Define the performance testing strategy. You will architect distributed load tests using Locust and analyze long-term benchmarking trends to guide product optimization.

    Qualifications

    What you need to have:

    • Expert Proficiency in Python: You are a software engineer first. You have deep experience with OOP, design patterns, and building complex internal tools or frameworks.
    • Strong Defect Isolation & Root Cause Analysis Skills: You have a proven ability to trace complex bugs through a distributed system. You don't just report symptoms; you diagnose the disease (e.g., identifying race conditions, memory leaks, or network latency).
    • Kubernetes & Helm Mastery: You don't just use clusters; you understand them. Extensive experience managing EKS clusters, writing complex Helm charts from scratch, and troubleshooting low-level container networking or storage issues.
    • CI/CD Expertise: Proven experience designing and optimizing build pipelines, enabling Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment workflows.
    • Mentorship Experience: A track record of elevating the technical skills of your peers through code reviews, documentation, and coaching.

    Nice-to-Have Skills:

    • Observability Stacks: Experience configuring and querying Prometheus, Grafana, or AlertManager to monitor test environments and visualize performance metrics.
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform or Ansible.
    • Cloud Architecture: Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, EKS, ECR, IAM) and cost-optimization for test environments.
    • Security Testing: Experience integrating security scanners (SAST/DAST) into automation pipelines.
    • Advanced Database Tuning: Ability to diagnose database performance bottlenecks (Mongo, InfluxDB, Postgres) in a testing context.
