Assembler of Fitness Equipment

Job Description

Job Description:  Assembly personnel for the commercial fitness equipment are responsible for performing diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble physical fitness equipment. Assemblers may be required to utilize, repair and maintenance small hand tools or other items needed to perform mechanical assembly functions.

Job Duties:

  • Perform assembly tasks over a lengthy time span.
  • Use a multitude of small hand tools to assemble product.
  • Read blueprints or specifications to understand assembly of product.
  • Read blueprints to analyze drawings and specifications to plan layout and assembly functions and operations.
  • Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain appropriate records and reports.
  • Provide assistance to others in the department as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Have ability to use various small hand tools.
  • Have ability to understand shop blue prints or specifications.
  • Have the ability to operate a forklift. (Will be trained/certified by company..)
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Have good hand / eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Have good interpersonal skills.
  • Have strong verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to problem solve and analyze and interpret data.
  • Have the ability to stand and walk continuously throughout an eight-hour shift.
  • Have the ability to work in dirty conditions.
  • Have the ability to bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Be mechanically inclined.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be reliable, organized and detailed oriented.
  • Understand that the requirements of the job may change at times due to changing priorities of the company.

Additional Information

Monday-Friday 8Hour shift (Overtime as needed)
