Essential Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed):
•    To support all welding processes and applications to produce quality products through repair and troubleshooting weld equipment. To assign job duties and responsibilities to Weld Techs and Engineering Mechanic to support assembly production.

Primary Objectives 
•    Supervise hourly Weld Techs for PM’s as well as support assignments
•    Spec out welding equipment and tooling for new and existing product
•    Attend run-offs for approving weld equipment and tooling
•    Develop and establish weld parameters for new or existing equipment
•    Work to identify cost savings 
•    Communicate safe policies for job performance
•    Schedule and attend necessary company meetings
•    Work with other departments to solve problems.
 

Requirements
•    Extensive experience in weld assembly area of automotive support industry
•    Supervisory experience
•    Experience with quality and tooling related issues
•    Knowledge of SPC and CMM data 
•    Tradesman certification based on experience
•    Mechanical / Electronic studies or technical training 
•    Knowledge of resistance welding and robotics
•    Excellent communication and organizational skills
•    Strong leadership skills
•    Computer skills
