Job Description
Our Deep Tech Growth Lead, Europe will be the commercial engine driving our European expansion. This role interfaces directly with pioneering technical founders and executives across deep tech domains from High Performance Computing, photonics, semiconductors, robotics, simulation software, IoT or industrial automation. Commercially minded engineers who value local presence, face-to-face relationships, and genuine integration into technical ecosystems will thrive in this role.
Drive Client Acquisition: Own and execute the end-to-end outbound strategy to identify, qualify, and win high-potential B2B deep tech startups as prospective Sparksense clients.
Maximise Ecosystem Presence: Map out and actively attend premier industry trade shows, sector conferences, and regional innovation hubs across Europe to identify and develop new business opportunities.
Execute Modern Sales Campaigns: Build and run rigorous, data-driven research and prospecting campaigns utilising advanced tooling, including AI platforms.
Accelerate Startup Success: Secure client onboarding and coordinate ongoing project delivery alongside our senior advisor network to guarantee exceptional service and client retention.
Forge Strategic Alliances: Cultivate deep relationships with European tech clusters, incubators, and accelerators to position Sparksense as their premier, go-to commercial acceleration partner.
Collaborate across our team: Partner directly with the Managing Director on key accounts, strategic commercial priorities, and regional growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Communication skills (Must-Have): You naturally connect with entrepreneurs, speak the language of technical founders, and understand their challenges. You have experience in startup scouting, incubator/accelerator programs, or worked in tech-transfer.
Technical understanding: University degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related hard science (MSc preferred). Genuine curiosity for complex tech is mandatory.
Commercial Drive (Big Plus): Ideally first experience in B2B sales, account management, or tech consulting.
Language Skills: Minimum C1 English fluency; French or German is a strong advantage.
