Job Description
About the role
Spanx is looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team. With a split role supporting the G/L Team and our A/P and A/R teams this individual will help with segregation of duties and cross training. As a member of the Accounting Team, you will play an integral role in further achieving, maintaining, and surpassing the hyper-growth journey that is Spanx.
This role is based in our Atlanta headquarters, requires in office work Tuesday-Thursday, and reports into a Senior Accountant.

- Support the General Ledger Team:
- Prepare and post journal entries, mainly relating to cash and A/R
- Reconcile G/L accounts on a monthly basis
- Support eCommerce with reconciliations, research, and ad hoc testing
- Work in Concur (approvals & adding new users)
- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, and adherence to accounting principles and regulations
- Provide support with Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
- Assist with updating inventory cost sheets
- Support onboarding new vendors and new customers
- Provide support for annual audits
- Build relationships with internal teams and cross functional partners
Qualifications
We require…
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of Accounting experience
- Eligible and actively pursuing CPA certification
- Demonstrated understanding of Accounting software’s
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics (preferred)
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to take risks, champion ideas and grow independently and professionally
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to balance competing priorities
- Ability to leverage relationships within the organization to meet deliverables
- Ability to establish trust and maintain a collaborative spirit working cross-functionally in the organization
