About the Role:

As the Manager, Retention Marketing you will be hands-on in building and fostering an exceptional retention program strategy while identifying and developing key strategic relationships. This will require excellent management skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, strategic thinking, and a capability (and willingness) to establish and manage the day to day tasks and projects for programs. A successful candidate will have a vision for how to develop a scalable and strategic email & SMS model for Spanx. This role is based in our Atlanta headquarters and reports into the Senior Manager of Retention Marketing within the digital group at Spanx.

  • Proactively advance our customer retention tactics and strategies across email and SMS channels.
  • Establish, build, and nurture relationships with new and current partners through excellent communication and storytelling (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work hands-to-keyboard within email and SMS platforms to build creative, create audience segments, and pull reporting.
  • Ownership of entire campaign process including content calendar, audience segmentation, track defined deliverables, and reporting.  
  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment on digital plans including: PR, brand marketing, organic social, performance marketing, sales, legal, + finance.
  • Adept in product storytelling and writing campaign briefs with a full understanding of SPANX product features and benefits across all categories.
  • Monitor creative process to ensure that all messaging is aligned with brand standards.
  • Proactively come to the table with new ideas to scale email/SMS programs and strategy.
  • Manage channel performance and reporting, present data in an actionable and useful way to proactively make program optimizations and enhancements. Report on goals progress, forecasts, results and challenges.
  • Own and communicate channel calendar to Senior Manager of Retention Marketing.
  • Act as email & SMS subject matter expert.

Qualifications

We require…

  • 5+ years' experience in online marketing, specifically affiliate marketing, e-commerce or relationship marketing; Affiliate marketing or other digital marketing experience is a must
  • Experience within email and SMS for fashion/apparel brands is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of online retention tactics in the commerce space.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone, through email, and in writing; Must be an active team player within a cross-functional team
  • Robust analytical skills and ability to work with and analyze performance data.
  • Experience with an email & SMS technology (Optimove, Attentive, etc.)
  • Position requires a highly detail-oriented and proactive individual driven by results which can manage multiple projects, tasks, and people in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent project management and organizational/time management skills with specific attention to detail
  • Operates effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Google Analytics 360 and Tableau experience a plus.
  • Bachelor degree required.
