Southland Construction, Inc. is a general contractor providing vertical, heavy highway, and utility construction services in Florida since 1977. We perform services for both public and private clients ranging from $200,000 to $100 million.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
• Supervises on-site Project Superintendents and Project Engineers.
• Optimizes the operations means and methods with the Project Engineers
• Controls the progress of the operation to meet the objectives.
• Determines the suppliers and the subcontractors with General Manager and General Superintendent.
• Develops project schedule.
• Prepares and assists in weekly project update meetings.
• Ensures project quality on the project and respects commitments with the client.
• Reviews and approves all change order requests.
• Is responsible for and completes project budget.
• Controls project expenses.
• Approves invoices.
• Prepares the final quantities report.
• Recommends and proposes technical solutions.
• Maintains professional relationship with client(s).
• Responsible for maintaining safety on the project at all time.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
 

Project Manager Requirements:
• Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience managing heavy highway construction sites
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred
• Track record of managing and completing projects on time and within budget
• Ability to communicate with all levels of employees. Ability to effectively work under pressure and meet deadlines.
